Pick 'Ems - Kaiko Fidgets

The immersive experience of the Pick 'Em Range involves focus, digging, resistance, satisfaction & (personally speaking) sheer delight.  BUT warning: can be hard to stop once starting grin! They are a great option if you're looking for something for mindfulness, regulation and calming down your system. 

There are 3 different styles available including; Thread, Mixed up Naturals & Crunchy 

THREAD

They are designed as a support for those that delight in 'extraction' & and/or struggle with picking & pulling hair out. This stack comes with 3 discs - each with different threads & levels of ‘pull’.

Disc 1 :    2 fibres in 1 – both polyester thread & Japanese fishing line. Designed to mimic pulling out hair.  The two materials give different levels of resistance when extracted.

Disc 2 :  vibrant rainbow polyester cord.  Great resistance as you pull out & leaves the most noticeable 'hole' on removal.   

Disc 3 :  fine nail art thread fibres (colours vary) that provide less resistance but more challenge as you try dig and pull out. 

MIX UP NATURALS

Our Mixed up Naturals contain crystals, shells and pebble  and these pads are designed as a support for those that delight in 'extraction' & and/or struggle with picking & popping. The crystals, shells and pebble stones can be popped out, picked out with nails or you can use the tweezers to extract. They can then be repurposed after they are out by adding them to the Put 'Em Putty range! Those that have tried them in the sample phase have been surprised at how long & satisfying the 'extraction process' actually is! 

CRUNCHY

Pick 'Em Glow Edition = low-light sensory regulation tool.  They’re texture-packed, resin-loaded discs, designed for those who love/need to pick, pull, peel, extract, & fidget… without destroying their skin.

We chose these crunchy inclusions because the experience is SO satisfying — the sound, the resistance, the texture, the little pop moment when each piece comes out… it’s basically a sensory dopamine loot box.  Honestly… these are next level.

And as a completely unexpected bonus?   
They glow in the dark! Itis isn’t just a visual delight... it means they can be a low-light sensory regulation tool.  

Each of the silicone discs contain items with purpose in mind. In addition to being pure JOY for many, there is a more serious side to this genuine sensory seeking behaviour.    Picking skin & hair pulling can be a form of stimming sometimes referred to as body-focused repetitive behaviour & super common. It can be a sensory self-regulation behaviour, stim or part of repetitive ‘loop’. It can lead to compromised skin, bald patches, risk of infection, scars, shame and distress.  It can also be a challenge to stop, even when harmful. Which is why Kaiko Fidgets have a focused on having a range of tools to assist in supporting this sensory need. 

Things to consider - Likely not to suit those that struggle with imperfection or sensory issues with holes, as once removed the threads & stones (the other refill stack available) leave holes.  Trypophobia is an aversion or repulsion to objects like honeycombs and sponges that have repetitive patterns or clusters of small holes.

These are single use, however will likely surprise you as to how long they take to do. 

Two reasons we elected to not use the reusable silicone:

1. It's colour resembles 'wee' (gross i know!)
2. Most importantly, for safety reasons - if overheated (length heated too long or due to variance in microwave) or heated too many times it can catch the microwave alight.
